Matti, Keyboards are new in our evolution, so it makes sense that sometimes we experience difficulty working quietly at one. One of the reasons hatha yoga developed was so that people could sit in meditation for longer periods. This works because after a hatha yoga practice which involves moving the body and energizing the system we have gotten activity and can rest quietly. So although you can search the FAQ of alt.yoga for a link to keyboard yoga, I hope you will also consider a yoga practice that is active. There are many poses that move the hands and relieve tension in them. One I like is the Yoga Mudra. Hands are clasped behind ones back and then the body moves into a forward bend. Please read, or get some instruction before practicing this, sometimes people who are new to yoga experience dizziness doing this one. peace, sandra

May I suggest Sahaja Yoga Meditation. It is extremely benificial for relaxation. Firstly you achieve self-realization (knowledge of ‘Self’) then you establish this within. This brings you to a state of thoughtless awareness which is the state of true meditation. It is much easier to meditate after self-realization as you are not battling with the mind which is the greatest obstacle to meditation. There are many centres around the World. Please see the Sahaja Yoga website at http://sahajayoga.org/ for more information as well as contact numbers.
